Program: Children at risk of Exclusion
Young Dragons sessions are designed for pupils who may have been excluded to express themselves creatively and explore key topics around exclusion. These sessions will be tailored to specific needs of the young people attending aiming to support them through story elements to explore emotional regulation and conflict management.
Goals
- Support for young people who are at risk of exclusion or young people who have been excluded.
- A place to creatively express themselves and the situations they find themselves in, in a non-judgmental space.
- Explore positive conflict resolution and emotional regulation.
- Explore key themes, such as bullying, self-esteem, and rejection.
Program
- Session 1 – Introduction and Building a character.
- Session 2 – 6 exploring key themes through stories.
- Sessions 6-12 skill building – exploring conflict and social skills building.
Each program is designed for up to four young people, a size we recommend for an optimal experience.
What is Young Dragons?
Young Dragons is our inclusive adventure club for children and young people. It includes all of our outreach programs, allowing us to customize the sessions to support young people’s specific needs and situations as they join a community and meet other Young Dragons. We also prefer to use the term Young Dragon to refer to the program name with the pupils.

Our storytellers undergo advanced training tailored to specific programs, ensuring they are well-equipped for their roles. The majority of our storytellers have gained experience through their involvement with our sister company, The Role Play Haven. Their proven track record highlights their commitment to facilitating enjoyable, safe, and charitable gaming experiences. Each of them all vetted by our lead Storyteller and Safty Officer.
